Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Lumerexa ("we", "us"), the developer of LexaClip. By installing the LexaClip browser extension, signing in, or using the lexaclip.lumerexa.com website (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What the Service Is

LexaClip is a browser extension that detects the type of text you copy and offers one-click transformations, AI-powered rewrites, clipboard history, snippets and related productivity tools. Some capabilities run entirely on your device; AI features are delivered through our servers using third-party AI model providers.

We continuously improve the Service; features may be added, changed or removed over time. Where a change materially reduces the value of a paid plan, we will provide reasonable notice.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

• AI features require signing in with a Google account. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country) to use the Service.
• One account is intended for one person. Sharing an account to circumvent plan limits is not allowed.
• You may stop using the Service at any time by signing out and uninstalling the extension.

4. Plans, Payments and Renewals

• Free plan. Includes smart detection, all local transforms, and limited daily AI actions, history and snippets. Limits are shown in the app and on the Pricing page and may be adjusted with notice.
• Pro plan. Paid monthly or yearly at the price shown at checkout. Yearly billing is charged upfront for the full period.
• Payment processing. Payments are handled by third-party payment providers; we do not store your card details.
• Cancellation. You can cancel anytime; your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. To cancel or change a plan, use the checkout provider's portal or contact us at the address below.
• Refunds. Unless required by law, payments are non-refundable once a billing period has started; contact us for exceptional cases and we will review in good faith.
• Price changes. We may change prices; changes apply from your next billing period and we will inform you in advance.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for unlawful purposes, or to process content you do not have the right to process;
• generate or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, or that infringes others' rights;
• attempt to bypass plan limits, model restrictions, rate limits or security measures;
• reverse engineer, resell, sublicense or repackage the Service or its API without written permission;
• use automated scripts to place excessive load on our servers;
• misrepresent AI-generated output as the work of a specific person, or use it to deceive.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules (see Section 10).

6. AI-Generated Content

• AI outputs are produced by machine-learning models and may be inaccurate, incomplete or biased. Always review results before relying on them.
• AI output is not legal, medical, financial or other professional advice.
• Subject to the terms of the underlying model providers, we claim no ownership over the outputs generated from your inputs — what you make with LexaClip is yours to use.
• You are responsible for how you use AI outputs, including compliance with the laws that apply to you.

7. Your Content and Intellectual Property

• Your content stays yours. Text you copy, transform or sync remains your property. You grant us only the limited license needed to process it for the purpose of providing the Service (for example, forwarding an AI request to a model provider).
• Our property. The LexaClip software, design, brand, logo and website are owned by Lumerexa and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the extension for its intended purpose.
• Feedback you send us may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service depends on third parties — Google (sign-in and the Chrome Web Store), AI model providers reached through OpenRouter, and hosting infrastructure. Their availability is outside our control, and their own terms govern your use of their services. If a model provider changes or discontinues a model, we may substitute a comparable one.

9. Privacy

How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy — the short version: your clipboard stays on your device, AI requests are not stored, and there are no trackers. The Privacy Policy is part of these Terms.

10. Suspension and Termination

• You may terminate at any time by uninstalling the extension and, if you wish, requesting deletion of your account data.
• We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or where required by law. Where practical, we will warn you first.
• Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends; sections that by nature survive (IP, disclaimers, liability) remain in effect.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that AI outputs will meet your expectations. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumerexa will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. For material changes we will update this page and the "Last updated" date, and where appropriate notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected.
